Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today offered condolences to late Gujarat Police Chief Shri Amitabh Pathak’s son in a telephone talk.
In his tweet, Shri Modi said: In Shri Amitabh Pathak, Gujarat has lost a dedicated officer. The state will always remember his services. Spoke to his son and offered condolences.
Modi expressed his shock and grief at the sudden death of Pathak.
In a condolence message sent to the bereaved family, Mr. Modi described late Mr. Pathak, an IPS officer of 1977 batch, as a simple man and affable leader of the State Police, who took cops in true team spirit. His death is a big loss for the entire Police Force and State Government..
Mr. Modi directed the state administration to perform lat rites of late Mr. Pathak’s last rites as per his family’s wishes.
In his condolence message, Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani said: The news of sudden death of Gujarat’s DGP Shri Amitabh Pathak came as a rude shock. I am saddened. He was a personal friend, besides a brilliant officer and a noble human being. His death is an irreparable loss not only to his family and friends but also to the State’s police department. I pray to the Almighty that he may rest the departed soul into an eternal peace and provide strength to the bereaved family to withstand the loss.
Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia, leader of opposition Shri Shankersinh Vaghela in their condolence message on behalf of Congress party said the Gujarat Police has suffered major loss due to death of Shri Pathak.
