Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister today praised IPS Hasmukh Patel in a public function today. The function was held here to present appointment letters to 1990 candidates who successfully passed the recruitment test for a government job.
The Chief Minister in his address noted that when Hasmukh Patel’s name is spoken in speech, it invokes applause. “But why do you clap when his name is mentioned? Because he would complete his task timely and as per the rule, and he would allow no irregularity. When his name comes, irregularities go away automatically. So you all also need to do the tasks in the same fashion that it would also invoke applause. Now you are also part of the government and going to get an opportunity to serve. People should be satisfied that this Government servant would do the work. And it’s not necessary to do it all, but a visitor should be explained properly why his wish can’t be fulfilled. We all need to change the image of the government….. The Prime Minister is earning proud for the country globally, and we need to cooperate with him and work accordingly.”
It’s worth noting that IPS Hasmukh Patel is at the helm of the recruitment board, responsible for conducting recruitment exams involving millions of aspirants. The recruitment exams once had become troublesome for the State government due to repeated instances of paper leaks. However after appointment of IPS Hasmukh Patel, who is known for his uprightness, the exams are conducted smoothly without any unfortunate incident.
